Visitor guidelines
We do our utmost to ensure an enjoyable experience for our visitors. We invite you to read the rules and regulations for visiting the Palais de Lomé.
Health information
Masks are now optional throughout the site including the Palais and the Park.
Please keep a distance of 1 meter from other visitors and staff.
During your visit, please follow the suggested route.
Hydroalcoholic gel is available at the entrance.
Protection of biodiversity
The Park is rich in several rare or endangered plant species in Togo. We ask our visitors to respect the place: it is strictly forbidden to throw away waste, to picnic without having registered beforehand, or to pick up plants.
It is forbidden to use a slingshot or throw pebbles at the birds.
Food
It is forbidden to bring alcoholic beverages and food in general.
Picnics in the park are permitted, under special conditions, and with mandatory registration.
Picnics are permitted in the Park, subject to the following conditions:
– 12 people maximum per group
– No plastic materials (cutlery, plates, glasses, tablecloths, etc.)
– No music allowed (we prefer the sounds of wildlife and the peace and quietness of the area)
– No alcohol (unless exceptionally requested)

Please keep the area clean; rubbish bins are available in the park.
Photo and video reporting
Photos for personal use are allowed in the Park. For any professional shooting or video reports, please contact the communication department of the Palais de Lomé.
Visitors are not allowed to bring drones into the Park.
No image (photo or video) may be distributed, reproduced, sold or used for commercial or institutional purposes without the prior authorization of the Palais de Lomé.
In order to protect the works of art in the exhibition galleries, the taking of photos or videos is prohibited in certain areas of the Palais de Lomé. The guides will inform visitors where it is possible to take pictures.

General rules
Pets are not allowed.
Touching works of art is not allowed; the guides will inform visitors in cases where it is possible to touch certain works of art.
