3 borders

This group exhibition invites artists from neighbouring countries to exhibit alongside Togolese artists as an opportunity to engage in conversation about the pluralities and commonalities of different artistic practices in the region.

3 Borders is anchored by works by eight contemporary artists : Kelani Abass, Edwige Aplogan, Tété Azankpo, Serge Clottey, Euloge Glèlè, Al-Hassan Issah, Emmanuel Sogbadji, Prince Toffa working in diverse mediums across the four countries of Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria. The artists in the exhibition have been chosen for their ability to inventively engage with the materials of their environment. The exhibition explores the themes of connectivity, materiality, the migration and the reuse of objects to make political, social and conceptual statements.
